JAM GVkeys is a powerful utility that detects which key you have pressed on the keyboard

and ‘sends’ that key to TradeStation.  You can detect which key was pressed and have TradeStation act upon this key press.

JAM GVkeys is extremely flexible, allowing you to take any action based on any key press.  For example:

• You want to manually enter a position and then allow a strategy to take over the position and exit automatically.  Press the '+' key on your keyboard.  Your strategy buys into the market then takes control of that trade.

• You're a pairs trader.  You want to go long Ford and short GM.  Press the F5 key and you're in.  Later in the day press F6 and both positions are now flat.

• On your chart you have a 10 period SMA but you think in this market it is too fast.  Hit the F9 key and the SMA changes to a 15 period (or a 20 period, it's up to you). 

• Your strategy has entered a position, you have a fixed stop in place and a profit target, but you think the market is moving fast today and you don't want to get out too early on the profit target.  Hit the F1 key to turn off the profit target, and the F2 to turn on a trailing stop.  Hit the '5' key to make the stop trail 5 points behind the market.

• You have multiple indicators on multiple charts that are not reacting fast enough to the market today.  Hit the F5 key and all your indicators on your all charts reduce their 'periods' by 5 (or 10, or 20 etc).

• and anything else you can think of!

This is a screenshot of the JAM GVkeys program.  You can see that the F8, F9 and F10 function keys have been pressed in turn.  This sends the values 308, 309 and 310 to a Global Variable:

Then when we check TradeStation Print Log we can see these values have been received:

And that the plot has gone from 308 to 309 to 310.

Note, that in order to take full advantage of GVkeys it is necessary to program in EasyLanguage.  Some example EasyLanguage code is provided in the documentation, but programming support is NOT included with this product.  If you're not a programmer, or Global Variables are too difficult for you, then please contact me and I can do the strategy/indicator programming for you on a consulting basis.
